Essentially you find the library database file (it’s hidden in library/app support or something like that). Had AS wrote the “artist image” to the tracks, there’s no other player on Mac that I know that could have displayed this picture, including the previous players of Audirvana. You can actually do this, but it’s a big workaround. (I have AS on an external SSD boot drive, so I can’t check what I say, but I think that AS does not write the “artist image” to the files, but to its own database). Remember if you downgrade iTunes thel collection is NOT downgraded so unreadable to the lower version (the other way around works flawless. Now, regarding the “artist image”, it’s a feature that AS offers. 0 Comments Very important remark: turn off any media storage management. The change will be automatically synchronized and displayed in the other players. ![]() I do it then with the tagging tool of the player. It may happen, from time to time, that when I play an album in a player, I want to change a small detail. I have a bunch of video files, They have the correct file name but the title in the metadata is gibberish, I want to copy the file name & set it as the tile in the metadata. All the changes are automatically reported to the players that watch the music folders. to install: open Script Editor.app, paste this, go File > Export, choose File Format: application, save anywhere you like.- to use: select tracks to export in Swinsian, then run the app you just saved. It watches all the folders in which I store music, and allows me to quickly browse my music collection, find albums or operate changes. great for exporting a playlist from Swinsian to another music playing software, while keeping the order of the playlist. (It’s also a player, but I don’t use it for playback.) Swinsian has powerful features for library management, and it is working at the speed of light. In addition, for library management, I use a very useful application that is called Swinsian. In this way, I have the same metadata in all the players. The players are synchronized with the music folders and reading the metadata of the files of the albums. Once I tagged an album, I put it away in the folder in which it will be stored. For tagging, I use an application for Mac that is called Yate. For a full list of changes see the change notes.I use a few players, but I don’t edit the metadata with any of them. It’s also now possible to hide the album and artist labels in the art column for a cleaner appearance. The height for each album is now adjusted to save space when an album only contains a few tracks and the art column has been made narrow. The layout of the track table when the art column is visible and the “Show Every Album in Album Art Column” option is enabled has been improved. It’s now possible to change the character used to split the field from a comma to a slash. The option to split a genre into several values in the genre browser column (so that a track with the genre “Pop, Rock” will show up under “Pop” and “Rock”) has been extended to the artist field as well. It’s also now easier to change the field shown in each browser column right click the top row to select a different type for that column. It’s now possible to make Swinsian automatically select the currently playing track by enabling Automatically Select Playing Track in the Navigate menu. Feed Swinsian 2.1 Version 2.1 of Swinsian is now available to download. If I edit the tags correctly, if I leave the album artist tag blank, then it appears as one. There are several new features as well as some improvements to the interface. I found that swinsian doesn’t always handle compilation albums very well, even tho swinsian tags them as compilations, when they appear in navidrome, the compilation album is in single tracks by artist, and through this sub found meta and mp3tag. Version 2.1 of Swinsian is now available to download. ![]()
